It’s been a while since we’ve reported anything here on the blog, and for good reason. Things here at WebSolvents have been running as smooth as ever. As you all have been enjoying our services, we’ve been doing a few upgrades on the backend for you. All our servers have received some nice new hardware upgrades/updates which should be noticeable in your sites performance (and you didn’t even have to ask for it!). Additionally, all database systems have now been upgraded to MySQL 5.

Dear Customers,
This morning at approximately 6am EST, we experienced a network issue that caused our sites to go down. We are looking into the cause of the problem at this time. Downtime was approximately 2 hours. All service has been restored, and all sites are back up normally. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Rest assured, this is a top priority for WebSolvents Hosting.

PHP 5 has now been configured to run as the default PHP application on our servers. We encourage you to embrace PHP5 as the new standard, however, if you would like to continue using PHP4 on your account, simply add the following line to your .htaccess file located in public_html (or create one if one does not already exist):
AddHandler application/x-httpd-php4 .php
